Frank Paleokrassas started his career in Athens, working for two established ship owners. In 2009 he joined Bernhard Schulte’s ship-owning arm in Hamburg, working up to the position of Technical Manager, supervising the fleet’s technical operations and performance management.

In early 2016 Frank moved back to Athens and joined the group’s ship management arm, where he founded BSM’s Fleet Performance Centre and drove the development of the analytics platform that is currently used by the company’s fully managed fleet, comprising of approximately 450 vessels.

Since last year he is working as BSM’s Head of Data Governance & Analytics, focusing on cross-functional integration and product development.

Frank holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Marine Engineering and Electrical Power Technology from Newcastle University, as well as a Master’s degree in Shipping, Trade and Finance from Cass Business School. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering Science and Technology.

Gireesh M Menon is the Managing Director of Aries Group of companies. Headquartered in Sharjah, the company established in 1998, now operates in 17 countries around the world. With interests in diversified fields like oil & gas, Shipping, event management, 3D animation, studios, theatres and film production, the group now has 57 companies in its portfolio. Mr. Menon is a Naval Architect by profession and has a degree in Naval Architecture from Cochin university, Masters in marine technology from Newcastle university, and also is an MBA Degree holder.

He is presently pursuing his doctorate in Naval Architecture and heads the design and Engineering division in Aries Group. He has been at the forefront of many innovative designs, consultancy works and organizing events undertaken throughout his 21-year tenure with Aries Group. Leading a team of over 400 engineering personnel, he has been instrumental in establishing Aries marine as one of the leading Engineering and design consultancy firm in the world, with expertise in a wide range of activities including Offshore Engineering, Naval Architecture, Surveys, Auditing, 3D scanning, Drone inspections, Subsea Engineering and much more. Under his leadership, the company has been involved in new build designs, retrofits and conversions of a wide variety of ship types including tankers, Cable ships, LNG ships, Rigs, offshore platforms and many more.

A Marine-Mechanical Engineer with an MSc in Marine Technology (Naval Architect & Offshore structures) and an MBA. He started his career as an apprentice Marine Engineer in 1995, and further developed to Technical Superintendent, Technical Manager, and Technical Fleet Manager for wet and dry fleets. He has also been assigned as Flag Surveyor for Panama Flag administration and actively participated in the Cyprus Shipping Chamber technical committee. He has been working with CSM for the last 4 years, two of which under the role of General Manager for the CSM office in Greece.

Alexander Senteris has been with Angelicoussis Group since 2017, leading performance monitoring projects and energy efficiency upgrade program while being actively involved in decarbonization planning and initiatives of the group regarding the exploration of energy transition pathways, examining carbon exposure and potential balancing strategies. He is a naval architect and marine engineer, earning his Diploma from the National Technical University of Athens. He also holds a Master’s in Management from the same university, under the postgraduate program of “Engineering-Economic systems”, focusing on energy policy and multicriteria decision optimization.

Mr Syrras is the Operations Director of V.Ships Greece where he is overseeing the operational performance of the Company ensuring the consistent application, execution and compliance to all relevant requirements across the fleets. He led the successful management takeover of 32 bulk carriers across 7 months in 2021.

Earlier in his career and after his seagoing service, he joined ALSTOM where he was involved in several marine power & propulsion projects and ventures; after that he worked for Lloyd's Register and ConocoPhillips in Aberdeen, UK gaining extensive experience with tankers and the oil and gas industry. Before joining V.Ships Greece he was responsible for a diverse fleet of 20 vessels as well as the multimillion Newbuilding programme of Lomar Shipping Ltd. in London.

Mr Syrras has graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy of Macedonia in Greece and he also holds a BEng (Hons) in Naval Architecture, an MSc in Marine Engineering and an MBA from Aberdeen Business School. He is a Chartered Engineer with both the UK and Greek Engineering Councils.

Tatsuya Hayashi graduated from Tokyo University with a degree in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering in 2001, and thereafter began his career with ClassNK. He was with the head office in Tokyo doing plan approval for hull design and providing technical solutions related to tankers and offshore structures. He was a member of various cutting-edge projects related to hull structures, and of late on emission management, and is recognized as one of the leading experts in the sector. He is with ClassNK London office since 2020 as Deputy General Manager, and is engaged in technical and business communication with clients in Europe and Africa region.

Capt. Gina is a multilingual maritime Officer, active in the shipping industry since 2007 and has almost 8 years of sea service. Currently, she holds a Captain License. Her experience and qualities in combination with her studies are aligning with the demands of the industry. Her studies are not limited to Maritime. She also has a diversified academic background from several high ranked academic institutions including: a Bachelor degree in Shipping Law and Marine Insurance, TMSA relevant studies Leadership certifications from HEC Paris and MIT, along with various certifications on Ships chartering, ships and cargo operations she is also in progress of ICS professional program.

Capt. Gina is also a member of WISTA Hellas, International Propeller Club Port of Piraeus, GMC, ALLY Energy and Women Offshore. She is also in crypto and NFT market, founding member of Kyoto Network and owning her own NFT "Captain Gina" that is backed by 10 Tons of co2 emissions. It’s a part of a series collection that will be released targeting carbon offsetting, this initiative makes her as the first environmentally friendly lady captain on Metaverse.

Her excellent multitasking and time management skills make it possible to perform a variety of duties while onboard and ashore with a clear, logical mind and with a practical approach to problem solving capable to drive the things through to completion. Her growth mindset makes any company evaluate and absolutely needs her inspiration to the new generation, her continuously education appetite along with people's inspiration makes her in such capable asset who attracts companies' and managers' attention as the perfect example of how women and new generations have to behave and respond to such demanding working environments as the great job of seaman.

George Zindros joined ABS in 2003 as plan approval Engineer and up to 2020 held various positions in the Technical Department of the ABS Piraeus office. He also participated in several special assignments worldwide and worked in ABS engineering offices in Europe, USA and the Pacific on advanced engineering analysis and rule development projects.

In previous roles he has worked as an independent technical consultant assisting ship Owners with specialized structural assessments. Prior to shipping, he has also worked in the R&D department of a major European automaker as a project engineer specializing in advanced engineering analysis and simulation for passenger vehicles.

In 2020 George joined the business development team as Business Development Manager responsible to support the Greek Shipping Owner/Manager companies as Key Account Manager, promote ABS Services and expand business activities and opportunities. In addition to his business development duties, George with his extensive experience and knowledge of Class rules and statutory requirements, has been able to provide his clients with assistance on client response and service delivery related issues.

George is a chartered Mechanical Engineer and holds a MSc from the Faculty of Engineering of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Vangelis is a Naval Architect and Marine Engineer graduated from National Technical University of Athens. He joined ABS in 2019 as Surveyor for new construction vessels in South Korea and expertise on gas carriers. In 2022, he joined as Advisor the Global Gas Solutions team in ABS Greece office to support activities and development of gas related projects and systems.

Before joining ABS, he has worked in a shipping company holding various technical roles such as Newbuildings Supervisor, Projects Specialist and Technical Support Engineer supporting the day-to-day operation of the LNG/LPG fleet and managing dry-dockings and various ongoing projects.

Mr. Chrysostomou is a seasoned professional in the shipping industry. He holds an MBA (Master’s in Business Administration) and he graduated from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, with a Bachelor of Engineering in Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding.

Mr Chrysostomou, in his long-standing career, before joining Tototheo Maritime as CSO and Marine-Fields Holdings as CEO, was the Director of the Department of Merchant Shipping, (the Maritime Authority of Cyprus), CEO of Transmed shipping Co. Ltd. And Act. Secretary-General of CLIA Europe.

In his career Mr. Chrysostomou held senior management roles in fields such as safety and security, protection of the marine environment and administration. He also served as the elected Chairman of the Design and Equipment Subcommittee of the IMO and the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC). He was twice elected and re-elected Chairman of the International Mobile Satellite Organization and served as a member of the Board of Governors of the World Maritime University (WMU). He also served as President of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology (IMAREST).

Marcos C. Vassilikos is the Managing Director & Insurance manager of Eurobulk Ltd, Athens. Marcos finished his studies in 1983, and after 2 years of military service in Greece, he has been working in shipping in London and Pireaus since 1985. He completed his BSc in Marine Engineering from New Castle University, UK, and later completed his MSc in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering, and MSc in Ocean Systems Management from MIT Massachusetts, Boston. Before joining Eurobulk, he worked with Troodos Shipping, AGELEF Shipping, N. Bogdanos, and Oceanbulk Maritime, Athens.
